This week has been such a creative one for me, which is great because I have so many unfinished projects lying around. My little baby boy nephew is arriving very soon and at this rate the blanket I am in the middle of making him won't even make it as a scarf!
However, I am going to focus on the positives and share with you some things that I have been doing. I did actually finish something that I was making for baby boy. Well I still have to decide on the buttons... but I am more or less done. It was a stressful project because I ran out of wool... and the shop had sold out... and then I relised that I had made it about 2 inches too small. So was a bit of a bodge job, but I'm pretty happy with the results.
The Chef and I are still on our mega health kick and I am surprised at how easy it has been. We have been cooking loads and because we eating mostly vegan we are having to be a little more creative than usual. This evening I made some good old fashioned comfort food and it was just YUMMY!
My wonderful friend asked me to play around with her blog this week. It is the blog sister to her wonderful shop Tessies and well instead of just playing with it, I kind of ran away with it and redesigned the whole thing. I URGE you to go and have a look at my handiwork. I did all her lovely buttons too, including this one:
So go visit (click on the image) grab a button and get shopping.
If you are interested in blog or button design please drop me an email at skylarkingnanny{at}hotmail{dot}co{dot}uk and we can discuss a project and price.
I have been doodling recently which is nice. I haven't drawn anything for ages and I felt I was neglecting my little guys.
I'm not the only person getting creative, the local work men have been working so hard at building a bridge that's bound to revolutionise our village. The Chef and I have been super geeks about it and get excited every time we think they might be close to getting it done (we are so hip I know) and finally, we think both sides are touching! (There is not a lot to do around these parts)
What have y'all been creating? I am handing the floor over to you because I have been in front of this computer for what feels like EVER!

Oh goodness that little hoodie is too cute! I tried making something similar for my nephew and it turned out terrible.
That food looks delicious, but anything with mushrooms looks amazing to me.
There is very little I don't want to do in life, but being that high us is definitely one of the things I aim to avoid. That bridge will never look safe to me.
@Bronwyn: have had to unpick this and re-do it a lot. I use youtube if I mess stuff up. Seems to help me figure out most things.
@Nellie, I am so addicted to mushrooms!! They are putting a bungee platform on there too. I am NOT keen for that! But I think it is pretty safe, The Chef and I have more or less witnessed each and every brick going in!
Thanks for reading and leaving love people. Love Elle xo
